शिक्षा समाज के परिवर्तन का सबसे शक्तिशाली माध्यम है| जुहारी देवी गर्ल्स पी.जी. कॉलेज में, हम महिला सशक्तिकरण के माध्यम से उच्च शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है| गंगा नदी के तट पर स्थित, ऐतिहासिक नगर कानपुर शिक्षा, संस्कृति और परंपराओ का संगम है, और हमारा महाविद्यालय इन मूल्यों को आत्मसात करते हुए बालिकाओ को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में अग्रसर है|
महान उद्योगपति सर पद्मपद सिंघानिया (जे.के. ग्रुप) द्वारा उनकी मातामही श्रीमती जुहारी देवी की स्मृति वर्ष 1946 में स्थापित यह संस्थान डॉ. विजयलक्ष्मी पंडित द्वारा आधारशिला रखे जाने से लेकर 3 अगस्त 1963 को उत्तर प्रदेश के तत्कालीन राज्यपाल माननीय श्री विश्नाथ दास द्वारा उद्घाटन तक, सतत विकास के पथ पर अग्रसर रहा है| यह कॉलेज विशेष रूप से समाज के आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग की छाक्षाओ को उच्च शिक्षा का अवसर प्रदान करने के अपने लक्ष्य के लिए समर्पित है|
राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (NEP) 2020 के तहत, उच्च शिक्षा को बहुआयामी, कौशल-आधारित और शोध उन्मुख बनाया जा रहा है | यह नीति महिला शिक्षा और लैंगिक समानता को बढ़ावा देने पर विशेष ध्यान देती है, जिससे युवा छात्राओ को ज्ञान और कौशल प्राप्त करने के अधिक अवसर मिले | हमारा महाविद्यालय NEP 2020 के उद्देश्यों को अपनाते हुए एक नवाचारपूर्ण, अनुसन्धान-प्रधान और नेतृत्व विकसित करने वाले शैक्षणिक वातावरण को प्रोत्साहित कर रहा है |
हम उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य की उच्च शिक्षा परंपरा का एक अभिन्न अंग है और प्रदेश में महिला सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में प्रयासरत है | हम उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के प्रयासों की सराहना करते है, जिसने महिला शिक्षा, डिजिटल शिक्षा, और शैक्षणिक अधोसंरचना के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय सुधार किए है | इन प्रयासों से हर छात्रा को गुणवत्तापूर्ण उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने और अपने सपनों को साकार करने का अवसर मिल रहा है |

Principal Message
Education is the most powerful catalyst social transformation, and at Juhari Devi Girls P.G. College, we take immense pride in being a beacon of women’s empowerment through higher education. Situated in the historic city of Kanpur, on the banks of the sacred Ganga, our institution carries forward a rich legacy of academic excellence, cultural heritage, and progressive values.
Established in 1946 by the renowned industrialist Sir Padampat Singhania (J.K. Group) in memory of his grand mother Smt. Juhari Devi, our college has grown from a small school into a prestigious postgraduate institution, upholding its mission of providing quality education to girls, particularly from economically weaker sections of society. Since its foundation stone was laid by Dr. Vijay Laxmi Pandit, and later inaugurated as a degree college by Hon’ble Shri Vishwanath Das, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, our institution has continuously evolved to meet the dynamic education needs of women.
With the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, India’s higher education system is undergoing a transformational shift towards multidisciplinary learning, skill-based education, and research-driven approaches. NEP 2020 strongly emphasizes gender inclusion and accessibility, ensuring that young women receive the knowledge and skills required to thrive in the modern world. At Juhari Devi Girls P.G.
